Notre gamme de vins
All along the Rhone river valley, the Cotes du Rhone vineyards spread out as they have for over two millennia. The grape vines, cultivated already in Roman times, fill terraced slopes of the limestone hills, or spill out onto the river plains There is a great variety of soils and climates that forms a mosaic of terroirs from Vienne in the north to Avignon in the south.
The Cotes du Rhone winemakers have always known how to take advantage of this diversity to produce wines of very special flavor. The entire production is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée since 1937.
23 different gape varietals can enter into the composition of the Cotes du Rhone wines but each winemaker creates his own blend based on the climate, the exposition of the vines to sun and wind, the location, and the appellation's rules. The red, rosé and white Cotes du Rhone wines form an infinite variety of wines, as diverse as the countryside, but always harmonious.
The Cotes du Rhone wines are classed in three large groups. First, the 13 crus that correspond to specific territories - their soil, climate, varietals, and the art of the winemakers, such as Lirac and Tavel. These are famous wines, for their character and history.
Second, The Cotes du Rhone Villages that associate soils and climate, such as Laudun Villages, offer typical wines with strong expression and personality.
Finally, the Cotes du Rhone regional wines, representing over 80% of the crop, with a wide range of elegant whites, perfumed bright rosés, and well-structured reds.
Each appellation is subject to specific rules and regulations that guarantee their quality and authenticity.
